wave at the farmers

Behold the sight of tractors putting up University Ave, bright and early this morning! They're protesting at Queen's Park today and yesterday because they aren't able to make a profit anymore. I gave them big cheery waves and smiles, I remember being on the picket line and appreciating kindness from passersby. And of course, farmers do feed me delicious carrots and spelt and cauliflower, so I want them to make a decent living. Nifty idea: a vegan Farm Aid concert tour!

good for you for showing your support. i agree, the people who feed us shouldn't be barely making a living. now the livestock farmers is another story.....

I'm with Krissy -- how excellent of you to go out and suppor them! I love fruits and vegetables, and it's only fair that we value the people who help bring them to us.

Oh, and the cupcake, very good, but not at all fluffy. It was a "high protein" cupcake -- a silken tofu bomb! There are a bunch of fluffy vegan cupcakes around here, though this wasn't it.
