Today is International Record Store Day, so I listened to some records then went shopping for more records. I didn't find what I set out for, but of course I didn't go home empty handed:
Lots going on at Canadian record stores. Have you seen or read High Fidelity?!I love my hot pink slip mat! Magnolia likes to sit on the side space over the 8 track deck on my record player:
She collects records too:
Funny that there are so many media stories about how shocking it is that people are still buying vinyl, or going back to buying vinyl. It's a lot like all those media stories about knitting being back in the spotlight. Just a few:

you want to know something weird? even though you posted this on wednesday, it just showed up in my bloglines tonight. isn't that kinda odd?
anyhow, back to your post...
happy belated international record store day! i love the mini records & record player you have for magnolia. so cute! (why is everything extra adorable when it's miniature?). i sadly didn't celebrate the holiday...had no idea it was even happening. i wonder if hallmark makes a card for such an occasion. hee hee
oops! It was yesterday, April 20. I *started* the post on Wednesday and forgot to change the date! Will change now.
Yeah, why is everything cooler when it's miniature? I was just at a restaurant with Magnolia on the table, and some guy walking by pointed at her and said "cool key chain."
Yay for International Record Store Day!
Lunch was divine today. We must catch up again soon. That was way too long to go without seeing you!
No ttc strike tomorrow-they just announced it about a 1/2 hour ago. Yippie!
Wow! I never knew there was an International Record Store Day. I'll try to remember that next year. My vinyl project has reached the 250 mark and I'm thoroughly enjoying rediscovering the joy of vinyl. I'm one of those geeks who still treasure and occasionally add to my old record collection.
Sunflower Sandy.
Yay for International Record Store Day!
Did the record stores that you went into know it was IRSD?
MJM: divine indeed! Let's do that more often.
Sandy: next time I'm down south I want you to spin records for me while we sip tea!
Kat: They seemed to know, when I said Happy IRSD!
